Cops yet to trace murder accused who jumped custody | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 26: Cops are yet to trace the alleged murder accused Narbeer Singh who had jumped custody while an absconder in the case has been rounded up by them. Narbeer, the main accused in the case, had escaped from the custody of Nehru Market police. He was under treatment and was sent his home from where he escaped. Two cops were suspended in this connection. Narbeer, son of Ranjeet Singh of Belicharana, his brother Amarjeet Singh and Vikas Jelkhani, son of Maharaj Krishan of Muthi, had allegedly attacked Dalip Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Dool, Kishtwar, with sharp edged weapons while he was performing his duty of watchman at irrigation and flood control office store at Belicharana on October 19 night. He had succumbed to his injuries at the GMCH here. While police were chasing the accused, Narbeer got wounded in a road accident near Kathua. He was then taken into custody but he later gave them a slip. Police investigation in the case was in progress. |
