| Annual Inter School tournament concludes | | |
UDHAMPUR, MAY 21
A 2-Day Annual Inter- School Tournament for under 17 and 14 age category Boys and Girls organized by the Youth Services and Sports Department, Udhampur, concluded at Reasi today with the participation of over 200 players who displayed their talent in games like Kabaddi, Volley Ball and Kho -Kho being played at the GHSS Reasi premises.
Reasi Municipality President, Mr. Yash Pal Verma was the chief guest on the occasion while Vice-President, M. C. Reasi, Mr. Suraj Prakash and the Principal of the host school were the guests of honour.
A two-minute silence was also observed over the sad demise of a 16 year old student, Master Karan Sharma, cousin of local MLA and Minister, Rural Development Department, Mr. Jugal Kishore to pay homage to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the untimely irreparable loss.
In Kabaddi Under-17 Boys, Government High School, Kambal Danga (Reasi) won by defeating Govt. HSS Reasi while in Kabaddi Under-14, Govt. Middle School, Gran defeated Government Middle School, Katra whereas in Kabaddi Under-14 Girls category, Govt. HSS Reasi trounced GMS Gran.
In Kho-Kho under-14 Girls categories, the Govt. High School, Katra won the event by defeating Govt. High School, Aghar Jitoo while under-14 Boys of GHS Kambal Danga triumphed Kho-Kho event by thrashing GHSS Katra.
The players of Government High School, Kambal Danga ( Reasi) in addition to be champions of under-17 Kabaddi and under-14 KHO-KHO events also won Volley Ball championship by routing GHSS Reasi.
