| 7 kilogram ‘Ganja’ recovered, one held | | |

Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a narcotic smuggler while selling from ‘Ganja’ in Sanjay Nagar area this afternoon and recovered about 7 kilograms of ‘Ganja’ from his possession.
SP City South, Zahid Manhas told police booked specific information that some persons were supplying the narcotics in the area. Thereafter, police party led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Mohd Rafiq under the supervision of DySP SDS Chouhan swung into action and carried out raid in Sanjay Nagar area and arrested a person selling ‘Ganja’ there. Seven kilogram of Ganja was also recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Raju, son of Inder Mani of Nai Gurah, Orrisa presently residing at Sanjay Nagar.
During interrogation at PS, he told that he was active in the area from last many years. Sources said, he used to purchase the intoxicants from neighboring states and to sale it in the city on high rates.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard and investigating the matter.
