Sikhs today blocked Jammu- Pathankot national highway in Satwari district demanding the arrest of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh for allegedly appearing in the attire of Guru Govind Singh.
Over 1000 Sikh protesters blocked the highway for an hour, burnt the effigy of Dera chief and sat on dharna, officials said.
The traffic in the area was disrupted for two hours, they said adding, later rally headed towards local gurdwara.
The Dera chief had donned an attire like of 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh at a public function at Dera Salabatpura in Bathinda in Punjab on Friday last.
