Cardio vascular diseases detection camp held at Akhnoor | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 30: Cardio vascular diseases detection camp today organized here at Ghour Brahmna, Block Akhnoor. According to press release, more than 250 paitents were attended during the camp. The camp was organised under the supervision of Dr. Sushil K.Sharma Head department of Cardiology Govt Medical College Jammu along with a team of doctors which consisted of, Dr. Nasir, Dr. Mohi Kalsotra, Dr. D Kapoor and paramedics including Ram Rattan, Rajesh Sharma and volunteers including Sandeep Koul, Vikas, Jagdeep, Sahil and Lokesh. Dr Sushil Sharma highlighted the various risk factors which if not attended well in time can progress to deadly problems like Heart Attacks, Heart Failure and Sudden Cardiac Deaths. They included factors like smoking and excessive alcohol intake, Hypertension, uncontrolled Diabetes, Hyperlipi-daemia, obesity and stressful situations. Dr Sharma also highlighted the influence of cold weather on patients of Coronary artery diseases and especially in old. These patients should protect themselves from cold and desist from moving around in wintery and foggy conditions. Natives of the area Ram Paul, Jyoti Prakash, Yashpal, Lal Chand (Master) and Garu Ram expressed their deep gratitude for sincere determination and dedication of Dr. Sushil Kumar Sharma and his team for conducting such camps in their areas and helping people. |
