| JKSUF condemns Nawjot Singh Sidhu for speaking shalok during election rally | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 30: Jammu and Kashmir Sikh United Front (JKSUF) on Sunday condemned fromer Member of Parliament and BJP leader Nawjot Singh Sidhu for speaking the shalok from the Holy Sri Guru Garnath Sahib during rally at Udhampur.
Addressing the media persons, general secretary of JKSUF Avtar Singh Khalsa said this type of statement by leaders not acceptable that too a Sikh has hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community.
"Advising to Nawjot Singh Sidhu no to preach religious shaloks from political platform until he is well versed with the meaning of the same and to read the Holy Guru Garnath Sahib fully and history of Sikhism too,"he advised and adding as this type of behavior of Sidhu has crated resentment among the sikh community. While, chief organisor Bhaikanhiya Bishkam Sewa Society, Mohinder Singh also condemned the speech of Sidhu and demanded stern action against him as he has done a religious crime by connecting the GurubaniShalok with the words used by Arjun during rally Sri KrishanJiMaharaj while in the battle field during MahabhartaYudh which is totally wrong. He appealed the Jatheydar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib to summon Sidhu and demanded an explanation from cricketer turned politicians and take stern action against him. |
