| No decline in militancy; Villagers forced to settle in towns: Gupta | | | Jammu, August 08: Stating that the militancy in Poonch-Rajouri districts was at peak and there was no check in infiltration, Senior BJP Leader and Member of National Council Kuldeep Raj Gupta today said that even after the arrest of police and army personnel center and state governments are silent Addressing a press conference here today Gupta said that both Rajouri and Poonch districts are becoming the harbors for the militants, which according to him is evident from the recent arrest of a person for his involvement in Bombay blasts. “Both central as well as state government is silent. It seems that they have tied up with the militants. It is agreed upon by these governments that about 50 terrorist training camps are functioning in POK and Pakistan and thousands of the terrorists have been trained and waiting for their trespassing into Indian soil” he said adding but no action has so far been taken by these governments. People of both the communities are migrating from their respective villages and are putting up in the towns due to the fear created by the militants who can strike them taking the advantage of the raised maize crop, Gupta said adding that the recent indiscriminate firing in the villages of Khawas and Dhangri proves that there is no decline in militant activity and their number. |
