| HC grants bail to the alleged accused in inter-caste marriage case | | | JAMMU, MAY 21 Justice Virender Singh of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Jammu wing, granted absolute bail to one Kuldeep Kumar involved in the case of kidnapping, rape and conspiracy. In the bail application, Advocate Sunil Malhotra appearing for the petitioner, submitted that the father of the girl lodged a complaint with P/S Akhnoor u/s 363, 366, 341, 323, 376 r/w section 120-B RPC, in which the name of Kuldeep Kumar was not mentioned as the daughter of the complainant had married with a boy of other caste. The marriage was registered as per the statement of the petitioner. Justice Virender Singh, after hearing both the sides, observed that having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petitioner deserves the relief sought for. The criminal petition is allowed and the earlier order is hereby absolute subject to the conditions that the petitioner shall remain available for interrogation as and when required and shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer
