Addressing a joint press conference on behalf of all Sikh organizations, President of the SAD (B) HS Bali told reporters here today that the full support extended to their bandh call shows that all like minded people condemn the act of Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim and termed it provocative action. Demanding a thorough CBI inquiry, Bali urged Central and Punjab Governments to intervene at the earliest and curb activities of Dera chief and confiscate property attached with Deras. Bali also condemned the behavior of two PSO’s of state cabinet minister Gulchain Singh Charak for attempting to hold Sikh youth by their hair and termed it as an ‘unfortunate act’. ‘We have registered FIR against the PSO’s and demand strict action against the two’, Bali said. Former President SGPB Sudershan Wazir who addressed the press said that Gurmeet Ram Rahim has ‘committed a serious crime by wearing the dress of 10th Guru and asserted that activities of Self style Guru can not be tolerated at any cost’ and described today’s bandh in Jammu as most successful. ‘Demanding immediate arrest of self styled Guru, Dayal Singh Wazir General Secretary SAD alleged that Gurmeet Ram is a criminal and involved in many rape and murder cases’. His activities, Wazir said, are totally anti-Sikh and demanded strong action against him. He has also appealed the Prime Minister and Punjab Chief Minister to put a ban on the activities of Dera as otherwise the Sikh community would take a very strong action in near future.
