| Court rejects bail of accused involved in chopping of forearm | | | JAMMU, MAY 23 Third Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu, Mr. Sanjay Gupta rejected the bail application of accused Jatinder Singh, who along with other four accused involved in an attempt to murder case and chopped the forearm of one Chain Singh. The accused persons took chopped forearm along with them and threw the same in the river Tawi. The other four accused are still absconding and proceedings u/s 512 Cr PC initiated against them. In the rejection order, Mr. Sanjay Gupta said that it is also fact that previous bail application of the accused has been rejected. The allegations are very grave as the injured has become handicapped due to blow given by the present accused. In case accused is released on bail, there is every apprehension that he will temper the prosecution witnesses. Keeping in view whole circumstances of the case, no ground is made out at present for enlarging the accused Jatinder Singh r/o Gurah Salathian, on bail at this stage.
