| PCC rejects division of state | | | Jammu | May 23
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has said that any proposal for division of the state on communal line is not acceptable to the people of the state.
As per a press release Sharma has said that different suggestions from several quarters are being put up for the resolution of the Kashmir issue in view of the ongoing process of negotiated settlement of the Kashmir problem. He said any such formula suggesting division of the state on religious or regional basis will not be acceptable to the people for the state who believe in secularism and have rejected two nation theory. He said they have tied their faith with India in 1947.
