| One arrested with 1100 capsules | | | Jammu | May 23
Nowabad police today arrested a person from Jewel Chowk and recovered 1100 banned capsules from his possession. According to reports police today got specific information on smuggling of the banned drug in the area from Punjab. After getting the information a police party from the police station led by SHO Kulbir Handa swung into action and laid naka in the area. During checking, the party arrested a person namely Jatinder Kumar alias Bunty son of Pritam Chand resident Canal Road near Old Campus and recovered 1100 capsules from his possession and took him to police station for further interrogation. Police also registered a case in this regard. Sources said the arrested person was involved in drug smuggling for last many years and supplying the capsules to local youths in the area.
