Governor greets people on Rakshabandhan

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 8 - Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) S K Sinha has extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolizing the special bond between a brother and a sister.
In a message, the Governor said that the festival is an important occasion in the society, where sanctity of relationships immensely matters. The auspicious festival not only strengthens the ties between brothers and sisters but also cements solid bonds in general. This sacred festival affirms the people’s loyalty and faith amongst themselves as also for the society. The occasion creates a feeling of unity in the minds of the people and is celebrated with great joy and excitement all over the country, he added.
