| Crime Branch presents charge-sheet in fake certificate issue | | |

Crime Branch was in receipt of a written complaint from some unemployed graduates of Bandipora alleging that Zonal Education Officers Quilmukam and Bandipora have appointed certain Rehber-e-Taleem teachers on the basis of fake and fictitious qualification certificates.
Following the receipt of complaint, Crime Branch initiated enquiry into the matter. Enquiry conducted revealed that one Khursheed. Ahmad Bhat son of Amir in Bhat R/o Malangam Bandipora has managed his absorption as teacher under the scheme on the production of fake qualification certificate. Consequently this led to the registration of a case under FIR NO. I/2005 u/s 420,468,471 RPC at Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir Srinagar.
During the course of investigation it came to surface that the aforesaid suspect had submitted his application along with agriculture graduation certificate purportedly issued by “Purvanchal University Azamgarh U.P.” for his appointment as ReT teacher in Quailmuqam Zone.
During investigations the original of the certificate was seized by Crime Branch investigators and the same was referred to FSL for examination and opinion. Opinion received from FSL, revealed that the aforesaid suspect had himself prepared the fake BSC Agriculture certificate, witnesses acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case were examined.
On the basis of available evidence gathered during the course of investigation a case under section 420,468,471 was prima-facie established against the accused namely Khursheed Ahmad Bhat. Crime Branch has produced charge-sheet of the case against the above-mentioned accused before the court of Judicial Magistrate Class I Bandipora for its judicial determination.
