| MLA Pampore expresses grief over Sempora bus accident, visits SMHS | | |
Srinagar, August 08 – Member Legislative Assembly Pampore Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Mir visited SMHS Hospital today and enquired welfare of the injured passengers of a minibus which met an accident this morning at Sampora.
The minibus which was coming from Ladoo to Srinagar met an accident at Sempora resulting injuring to 32 persons and death of 2 passengers on the spot.
The MLA asked the hospital authorities to provide best possible medicare facilities to the injured. He also asked the government for providing relief to the kins of deceased persons and the injured. He also urged for proper investigation in the matter.
Mr. Mir expressed sympatheties with the families of the deceased and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and early recovery of the injured.
Medical Superintendent SMHS Hospital Dr. Wasim Qureshi assured the MLA that every possible medical facility would be provided to the injured.
Later, MLA visited Pampore constituency and took stock of the water level in the river Jehlum at Kandizal, Marwal, Khadirmoh, Pampore, Sambora and Kakpora.
He asked the Flood Control authorities to initiate remedial measures to cope up with the situation. Mr. Mir also directed them to keep the field functionaries alert during the rainy season. |
