| CRPF Jawan, PDP worker injured in militant attacks | | | Srinagar May 24 One CRPF Jawan and a PDP worker were injured in two separate militant attacks in south Kashmir area during last twenty four hours. While the paramilitary personnel received minor injuries after unidentified militants attack a CRPF patrolling Party at Brah Bandina in Awantipora area of south Kashmir, militants fired several rounds and injured a PDP worker at Yaripora area of Kulgam. Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that constable Saroj Bhan received minor injuries after unidentified militants fired upon 155 CRPF Bn patrolling party near Railway track at Brah Bandina, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Awantipora. However, the militants fled away from the spot of the incident. Later a manhunt was launched by the troopers to nab the militants. Police has registered a case in this regard and has taken up investigations. Meanwhile, three unidentified gunmen intercepted a PDP activist Abdul Ahad Bhat 60, son of Ghulam Qadir at his native village falling under the jurisdiction of police station Yaripora. The gunmen fired few rounds on his left leg and fled from the spot. He was immediately rushed to hospital from where he was referred to Bones and Joints hospital Srinagar. Police has registered the case in this regard and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
