| CEO pays surprise visit to schools | | | JAMMU, MAY 24 In a continued campaign and to curb the tendency of absence of school teachers, Chief Education Officer Mr. Romesh Choudhary accompanied with Mr. Kuldeep Sharma Principal, District Institute of Education and Trainings, Jammu Mr. B. R. Saroach, Principal Government Girls Hr. Sec. School Shastri Nagar and Mr. Joginder Sudan, HOD, DIET Jammu paid surprise visit to various schools of Vijaypur and Jakh. At Government Hr. Sec. School, Vijaypur, the team found Incharge Principal not closed the attendance register upto 08.30 A.M. Classes will also checked by the team of academic side and it was observed that the level of the understanding of students studying the school is below average in spite of no shortage of staff in the school and stressed the concerned staff for providing quality education to the students by using latest technologies, while in one section of class 10th there was no teacher and such situation gave a very shabby look in the functioning of the school and Vice Principal was directed on spot to instruct the staff to be careful in future and be vigilant in the school administration. At Govt. Middle School, Jakh, the school is functioning properly and all the staff of the school was present and the classes were running in full swing. CEO directed to be punctual in their legitimate duties and observe uniform schools timings as desired by the Education Department, failing which stern action will follow as absence of school teachers not only create indiscipline, but it destroys the very purpose of government which is spreading education even in the remote to remotest area.
Bloeria Committee holding public meeting at Ramban on May 25 Srinagar, May 24 (INFO) - The Bloeria Committee along with other members is presently visiting Ramban district to collect the views of the people for creation of new administrative units. The Committee led by former Chief Secretary Dr. S. S. Bloeria is holding a public meeting at Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation Dak Bungalow Ramban on May 25 at 10.30 a.m. Those interested to put-forth their views before the Committee have been asked to attend the meeting.
