One day training programme on Farm School organized 12/22/2014 12:07:14 AM Early Times Report Samba, Dec 21: One day training programme was organized in on Farm School under National Mission on Agricultural Extension and Technology (NMAET) at village Chang in Block Vijaypur Distt. Samba. Twenty eight farmers participated in the training programme. Deputy Project Director (ATMA) Ashok Gupta during interaction with the farmers brief the importance of training programme in on Farm School and further in his technical message to the farmers to adopt scientific based technology in their respective field for better production which is the need 06 hours for every participant. He also discuss with the farmers regarding use of Bio-pesticide “Trichoderma” with farm yard manure for soil treatment to maintain the fertility of the soil and moisture conservation. Scientist from SKUAST (J) Dr. P.K. Rai delivered his lecture on integrated Nutrient Management practices in wheat crop and he also explain the physiological disorder occurred in which crop due to nutrient deficiency at different stages. Dr. Sonika Jamwal delivered her technical message to the participants regarding precautionary measures to control diseases in wheat crop due to change in weather condition especially ‘yello rust’ and advised the farmers to spray propaconazole at the rate of one ml per litre of water immediately as and when they saw the symptoms of yellow rust in their wheat crop without only delay.
