Women named Girja Devi alias Babli aged 55 years R/o Indira Nagar Miran Sahib had gone missing since Dec 13 and the report of her missing was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib. After 8 days the woman was recovered from village Palwan, Sohal-Kaleeth road Akhnoor in injured condition. Woman is now under medical observation as she has got injuries on her body. As per family members, the woman was recovered by SHO Akhnoor, Kuldeep Khajuria and police is trying to take the credit but family claims that they got the phone call on Dec 21 right after the polling day and they rushed to the spot and recovered the woman. They alleged that police is telling a lie as police was lenient to find the missing woman and said that when they reached Akhnoor both hands of Girja Devi alias Babli were tied. Lalit Kumar alleged that his sister was missing from home since 3 PM and that she was busy in campaigning for B R Kundal. He further said that on Dec 18, he verified that a policeman named Ajeet of P/S Akhnoor found her sister and he brought her to Akhnoor hospital in injured condition and did not convey any message to police station. He said that there is clear negligence of duty because the said cop did not perform his duty as per rules. He further alleged that he is still unable to understand that how her sister covered the distance of 50 kms to reach Akhnoor as she is mentally unwell. "We found our sister through our own way by publishing advertisements in the newspapers" he added. "Now police is trying to cash it by publishing news in newspapers claiming that police had recovered the woman but it is a blatant lie which is totally unacceptable" Lalit added.
