| Azad exhibited great courage in taking revolutionary decisions: Vakil | | | Srinagar, August 8- MLC and senior vice-president JKPCC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil today said that since Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has taken over the reigns of Jammu and Kashmir State, a new chapter of development, prosperity peace has started. Mr. Vakil was addressing a large public gathering at Sopore and said that Mr. Azad’s increasing popularity among the masses has jealousies those elements who claim to champion of people of the state. He said that nobody in last 30 years conceded the demand of people of J&K for creation of districts, sub-districts and tehsils, but for Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad who exhibited great courage to take such revolutionary decisions thus pushing the communally and regionally biased elements to go in hibernation. Mr. Vakil said during the recent assembly session the figures given by the government about human rights violations and militant related violence has proved that since 1989 when Mr. Jagmohan was the governor of J&K, the lowest figures are reported during last nine months, which is a clear proof that human rights violation is on decline. Contesting those who exaggerate the situation, Mr. Vakil said people are well aware of those who thrown grenades at public places and attack tourists to create a wrong impression among the people and defame government. He said all these elements fell unnerved by the jubilant mood of people following the creation of new districts. He said even though these forces tried to stop people from celebrating the creation of new districts by showering grenades. He said that the people of J&K know that Mr. Azad is the missionary leader who has taken courageous steps for the prosperity and development of the state. Referring to the courageous movement in against the corruption Mr. Vakil said in his nine months tenure the J&K has became the first state in the country which bring a strong law against corrupt people which helped to bring down the graph of corruption in the state. He said by downsizing of ministry is another landmark decision taken by Mr. Azad to save the state. |
