| School block inaugurated | | |

President Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) BG Brigade, Mrs Baljeet Singha inaugurated a new block at Girls Higher Secondary School, Mendhar. The project has been undertaken at a cost of Rupees seven Lakh by Mendhar Battalion under the aegis of BG Brigade under Operation SADBHAVANA to increase the education threshold of the local children living in the close vicinity of the Line of Control in the Punch District. President AWWA BG Brigade addressed the gathering and exhorted the children siting the example of lady officer Lieutenant Commander Wahida Prism Lone from Thanamandi, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release.
