| PSU employees hold protest dharna | | |

In order to meet their pending demands, all public sector employees and workers organized a protest dharna here today, in which a large number of employees from all public sector units took part.
Addressing the protesting workers, the Federation Chairman Amrik Singh Sassan reminded the Chief Minister about the promises made by him recently to fulfill the long pending demands within two months.
The demands included release of COLA, conversion of COLA into DA, 50 percent merger of COLA with basic pay and grant of pensionary benefits to public sector employees.
The Federation President, Jagmohan Sadhotra while addressing the employees alleged that government was deliberately delaying decision on the genuine demands forcing the workers to resort to agitation. He has appealed the Chief Minister to concede the demands at the earliest as assured earlier.
The protest dharna was organized jointly under the Chairmanship of Amrik Singh and Jagmohan Sadohtra
