| Adi Gram Samiti organizes seminar on child labour | | |
Jammu May-26
Adi Gram Samiti, in collaboration with Central Board for Labour Education, organized a two-day seminar on child labour at ECG centre Kaluchak near here today which was inaugurated by K K Gandotra Consultant Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
In his inaugural address, Gandotra stressed the need for creating awareness about the ill affects of child labour and their rights adding that the Government has already banned the child labour in any form and those violating the law would be dealt with under the law.
Parmod Kapai, a prominent personality of Jammu, was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Malkit Ram, Regional Director highlighted the government policies for eradicating the menace of child labour and appreciated the Adi Gram Samiti for organiziang seminar on this vital issue.
The functionaries of the Samiti including Puneet Pradhan, Kamal Salgotra, Arti Bakshi of Department of Psychology Uuniversity of Jammu, Abha Chauhan, Baldev Singh Sarpanch Gangyal, Rahul Dev and Manmeet Singh Education volunteers also spoke at the seminar.
