Don't want re-elections in Kashmir: BJP | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 28: Ruling out re-elections and imposition of Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP on Sunday said efforts are on for the sustainable government in the state for next six years. Re-elections or the imposition of governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir can in no way be the solution of the issue, says BJP general secretary and in-charge JK affairs Rameesh Aroora. He added that the people of the state have given mandate to the political parties to govern for the six years and if their aspirations are not taken into account, the any move other than the formation of the new government could be against the sentiments of the people who have voted during the state elections of 2014. BJP maintained further that the party has only set three conditions for the alliance with any other political camp in Kashmir for the making of the new government. "We have maintained our stand that the sovereignty of India can in no way be compromised. Second is that priority must be given to the development of the state and third is equal share of funds and development for all the three regions of JK- Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh." |
