Army distributes relief items among flood victims

RAJOURI, Dec 28: To mitigate the problems of about 75 floods affected families, army extended helping hand and distributed relief material to these families in Nowshera tehsil.
In this connection a function was organised by the Lam Battalion, under the aegis of Nowshetra Brigade, at Pukhrani village.
The function was inaugurated by Brig Partik Sharma,Commander Nowshera Brigade and relief was distributed by Col Dipender Singh.
The relief was provided to the flood victims under operation Sadbhavna which include blankets, tarpaulins and kitchen utensils, said a unit officer.
While addressing the victims, Brig Partik said that Army is always in the service of the people.
It had extended help to the victims in the month of September when natural calamity struck and it (army) will continue to help the people in future also.
Deepati Upaal, SDM, Sargun Shukla, SDPO and sarpanchs of the area werte also present on this occasion.
