| BJP stages massive protest against former MoS; torches effigy | | |  Early Times Report
Hiranagar, Dec 28: Bharatiya Janta Party, Billawar Unit and Panchayat bodies of different Panchyats falling under Billawar constituency today staged a massive protest demonstration at Dayalachak and torched effigy of Former MoS and Former MLA from Billawar Constituency Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma who was booked under different IPC & RPC sections including 307 attempts to murder.
It is relevant to mention here that the manhandling incident occurred on Dec. 19 , a day prior to Polling for Fifth phase including Billawar Tehsil where Dr. Manohar Lal with his supporters attacked on a Dy. SP rank police officer and BJP Candidate for Billawar constituency Dr Nirmal Singh at Thara Khlyal. Dr Nirmal Singh won the seat with more than 18000 votes where 2 times MLA Dr Manohar Lal Sharama lost his home seat.
The protest was led by BJP Billawar Unit, BJYM and Panchyat bodies under the joint leadership of Gobind Ram Sharma, Sarpanch Chilakh East.
While interacting to media, Sharma demanded strict action against former MoS and informed that attempt to murder case with other stringent sections has been lodged but surprisingly no arrest has been done even after 10 days of incident occurred.
He said, MoS attacked on Police officer who was on duty at the time of incident but no arrest has been made and asked if he attacked on common man, what would occur? |
