| Qazi chairs JDA Board meeting | | |
Jammu, May 26
The 67th meeting of Board of Directors of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) was today held at Srinagar under the Chairmanship of Minister For Housing and Urban Development and Forests Qazi Mohammad Afzal.
Several important decisions were taken in the meeting. It was decided that an amount of Rs.1.75 crore would be utilized on improvement and up gradation of road network and drainage system of Transport Nagar, Narwal.
Qazi Afzal impressed upon the officers to maintain close coordination with other departments and agencies and also take into consideration representations of people while executing works. This will helping in creating an atmosphere of development. He further said that working with dedication and devotion is as good as any noble deed. The Minister said that it is not enough to go far making decisions only but implementation is to ensure benefits.
Among others, Principal Secretary, Planning and Development Mr. S. S. Kapoor, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Mr. Pramod Jain, Commissioner and Secretary, Finance Mr. B. B. Viyas, Commissioner and Secretary, Revenue Mr. Samoon ,Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Mrs. Naseema Lankar, Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority Mr. Ashok Pawar, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Vinod Sharma, Director (Codes) Mr. Tikoo and Chief Architect were attended the meeting.
