| Manjit asks to improve quality of education | | | JAMMU, MAY 26 Minister of State for Education Mr. Manjit Singh accompanied CEO Jammu Mr. Ramesh Choudhary and Mr. Joginder Sudan HOD DIET paid surprise visit to Govt. PS Kunjwani, GHS Satwari, GHS Gandhi Nagar, Govt Middle School, Krishna Nagar, HSS Rehari Colony, HSS Ghass Mandi and Govt. Middle School, R.N. Pura. During visit, one Teacher namely Mrs. Santosh Manhas, Govt Middle School, Pull Tawi who was reported to be habitual absentee by the local member of the school committee was placed under suspension on spot. Headmaster GHS Gandhi Nagar was on leave but had not sent her application to CEO Jammu for grant of leave. The quality of education was poor as assessed by the Minister in Govt. primary school Kunjwani. Mr. Digvijay Singh Teacher High School Satwari was directed to be asked to explain why he not treated as absent and brought to the notice of CEO Jammu. The teachers dealing with Data Entry of the school were also found on leave which is a sad affair and shall be enquired into by the Headmaster Satwari and she will submit a detailed report with his recommendation to the CEO Jammu for further appropriate action. Minister while inspecting the Govt. High School Ghass Mandi found that the arrival register was torn into pieces by the staff who were reported tobe creating lot of inconvenience due to their personal affair and putting the students to harassment. The CEO Jammu will put the delinquent official after holding an enquiry personally and will take stern action against the trouble creator officials immediately and under an intimation to this office. At Higher Secondary School Rehari all the classes were functioning in full swing. He directed the Principal to improve board results in future. Mr. Singh asked that the Head of the institutions will be taken to task in case they do not improve the quality of education and punctuality in school.
