Prem Sagar appeals to visit sarthal mega mela

Minister of State for Finance, Planning, Revenue, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz during his extensive tour of Basholi, Bani areas inaugurated six passenger sheds at Mandrera, Karado, Saparu, Daraman Nalla, Backen, Salana which are constructed by Rural Development Department at an estimated cost of Rs. 5.75 lakh under MLA fund today.
While addressing the gathering Minister invited the public to join the Mega Mela at Sarthal which will be celebrated from 4th to 8th of June 2007 and will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad. During the celebrations the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for various construction works at Sarthal under Tourism Master Plan.
Mr. Aziz added that Rs. 8 crore would be spent for the development of Sarthal as tourist place. He told that the people of Lawang have provided 94 rooms with full facilities for stay of the people during the Mega Mela.
Various deputations met the Minister and projected various demands which include compensation of damaged houses due to storm, bus service from Basohli to Kardoh, water supply from Tayota to Beed through Majara, road from Ghor Nala to Tayota. A deputation of students also met the Minister and demanded posting of adequate staff at Government High school Bani.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the deputationists and assured that their genuine demands would be fulfilled.
On the occasion SDM Bani S.K. Kapoor, Xen-PWD (R&B), BDO, SDPO Basohli, other black officers, prominent citizens and a large number of people were present.
