| I-Day arrangements reviewed at R.S.Pura | | |
R. S. PURA, AUGUST 08 - Arrangements for celebration of Independence Day celebration-2006 were reviewed at a meeting of tehsil officers held here today under the chairmanship of Tehsildar R. S. Pura.
The meeting decided that the main function would be held at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology ground instead of Bana Singh Stadium, where former Minister Mrs. Suman Bhagat would hoist the tricolor and take salute from the contingents of BSF, police and troupes of various educational institutions.
Cultural programmes highlighting national and patriotic fervour would also be presented on the occasion by the school children.
Other necessary arrangements like security, drinking water, sanitation, medicare, etc. too were reviewed. |
