| Court rejects bail in NDPS Act | | |
JAMMU, MAY 26
3rd Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu, Mr. Sanjay Gupta today rejected bail application of Tilak Raj, who was arrested on September1, 2006 by the P/S Bahu Fort and on the search recovered 89 Intoxicant injections of three kinds.
According to APP Gulzar Singh Charak the accused was indulging in illegal business of intoxicant injections and selling it to drug edict persons.
After hearing arguments from both the sides, Mr. Gupta dismissed the bail application filed on behalf of the accused with the observation that since the recovery of drugs had been more than the commercial quantity therefore Section 37 of NDPS Act is applicable in the present case. More so the petitioner has not made any case for bail
