| DKS educational trust celebrates Annual Day | | |

Defedar Kharak Singh (DKS) Education and Welfare Trust, Sainik colony today organized an impressive function to celebrate its Annual- cum- Freshers’ Day.
The function held at Abbinvav theatre was presided over by Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Director Academics Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education while Minister of State for Education S.Manjit Singh was the guest of honour. A large number of parents and the students of the school attended the annual function.
On this occasion the students presented a colourful program depicting the rich cultural heritage of the state.
Later, the Minister presented mementos to the students and appreciated their performance. He said though the government has been doing its up most to achieve the cent percent literacy rate in the state but added this can only be possible if people realize the importance of education and send their wards to the schools. He also complimented the private educational institutions for supplementing the efforts of the government in this direction.
