Avaricious human approach has once again come to fore – this time from a health educator presently posted at Dacchan in Doda district who has landed in date of birth controversy. Sources said that the case being high sensitive in nature has been communicated to the secretary health and an inquiry committee has been initiated in this regard.
Sources in the health department revealed that by tampering the date of birth, one health educator aimed at getting service benefits for at least two years. He has allegedly tampered with his date of birth to be born in 1954 instead of the actual date of year of birth i.e.1952.
Sources within department informed that the tampering of the year of birth of Ghulam Hussain Shiekh Health Educator in health department, was noticed during a routine checking of records recently. Sources within health department also added that the official / service book record interference could be believed to be managed to claim a promotion to the rank of Community Health Educator (CHO) in the basic grade of Rs 6500- and above. ‘As the person was approaching to the retirement age with a promotion he could get more benefits and higher pensionary emoluments, some alleged.
Sources also mentioned that a letter from the directorate office has been forwarded to the concerned Commissioner Health and Medical Education and Director Health Services Jammu. Initially a departmental inquiry has been initiated in this context and it confirmed the tempering with the official records as the colour of the inks mentioning in the records were also noticed to be different on preliminary inquiries, sources said and added that though a detailed reports about the matter has been communicated to Secretary Health and Director Health Services Jammu at the same the CMO Doda too has been asked to conduct a departmental inquiry to substantiate the fact further. Further adding to it they amazingly said that though everything was conducted so confidential but the health educator getting an air from some circles rushed to the directorate and started looking for someone to help him out of crisis.
Earlier Dr Kailsh Kohli too has been dragged into this date of birth tempering controversy when the State Vigilance Organization initiated an inquiry to probe the matter. When contacted the Director health Services Jammu could not be brought on records due to being out of station on
