| ZCC lifts Gurfan Memorial trophy | | |

Zakir Cricket Club lifted the 3rd Gufran Memorial State Level Cricket trophy by defeating B.C.C Bhaderwah by 16 runs in the final match played at Sports Stadium here today.
Earlier ZCC won the toss and elected to bat first scored a defendable total of 122 runs in stipulated 25 overs by losing all their wickets. Idrees Butt scored 26 runs by hitting two sixes and two fours to the fence, while Majid Scored 25 runs. From BCC Bhaderwah Arshad and Mudassir shared three wickets each.
In reply, BCC Bhaderwah was all out after scoring 106 runs in 17.4 overs. Shafqat Baba and Mansoor scored 30 and 25 runs respectively.
From opponent side Javed Malik and Waseem bowled a fine spell and shared three wickets each. Javed Malik of ZCC was later adjudged as Man of the Match as well as Best Bowler, for his brilliant performance in the tournament, Mudassir of BCC Bhaderwah was declared as Man of the series, while Jahangir Nizami of ZCC was adjudged as Best Batsman of the Tournament.
District Development Commissioner, Saurabh Bhagat was the Chief Guest, while Commanding Officer 10 RR was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Sheikh Mohammed Aslam Dy. SP and Zaffarullah Rather Deputy Chief Warden Civil Defence were the special Guests.
The Chief Guest along with other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winner and runner up teams.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC congratulated the teams who participated in the tournament and also appreciated the sportsmanship displayed by the players. He further congratulated the organizers for organizing this mega event in this hilly and backward area.
