Group of 40 orchardists leave for study tour

A group of 40 orchardists of district Jammu left today for study tour of Punjab and Uttrakhand to get acquainted about the latest technology developed by the Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhina and G.B. Pant University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology Pant Nagar for the development of horticulture in Jammu region..
Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Hemant Sharma who flagged off the bus, emphasized the farmers about the importance of the study tour. He impressed upon the farmers to take maximum benefits of the tour and have interaction with the Scientists and fruit growers of these states..
Chief Horticulture Officer, J.L. Sharma said group will visit other prominent places of agriculture importance and also interact with the progressive fruit growers/farmers of these states.
Raiveti Raman Sharma, Horticulture Development Officer, Dansal and Ajit Raj Chowdery Horticulture Development Officer, Jammu are accompanying the group.
