| JCCB employees felicitate chairman, directors | | | Jammu | May 28 The Workers Union of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (JCCB) honoured its chairman M.S. Tariq and of directors of the bank in recognition of the services rendered by them in taking out the institution out of red by retrieving JAKFED default from the state government. While speaking on the occasion, president of the Union V P Sethi lauded the achievements made by the bank under the stewardship of its present chairman and apprised that the chairman besides according due promotions / benefits etc to the staff, was instrumental in getting an amount of Rs. 80.00 crore from the state government on account of JAKFED’s default. He added the issue earlier remained pending for the last more than 16 years. Tariq while speaking said that he had a long association with the bank as he earlier also remained the chairman in the year 1983-84 and apprised that he has a special attachment with this particular institution and it was his endeavour to see that his institution rise to its new heights. He said that he even at his personal level used his influence and ensured that the JAKFED default is settled at an earliest and the bank does not suffer any further damage on this count. He asked the employees to work hard and try to render best possible service to the clients of the bank as it is the era of competition. Surjit Singh and Capt. Behari Singh Chib, directors of the Bank also appreciated the role of present chairman. Arun Bakshi, General Manager (Admn.) was also present on the occasion. Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, General Secretary of the Workmen Union presented vote of thanks of behalf of the Workmen Union and assured the Chairman and the Board of Directors that Union shall render all out support in future also to for the upliftment of this institution.
