| Deputation of Airport Joint Action committee calls on Div Comm | | |

A deputation of Joint Action Committee of residents living within the 900 mts radius of civil airport called on Divisional Commissioner here today.
The duputation led by Lt. Col (retd) P S Raina apprised the Div Com of the problems being faced by the residents. He said, that the piece-meal extension of Jammu Airport has rendered the people of the area in a fix, because every now and then they are being told to vacate the area. They demanded that the airport be shifted to some other location, keeping in view security of people.
The Divisional Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the representatives and assured them that he will look into the matter in depth and call for a joint meeting comprising of the Director AAI Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Chief Engineer R&B Jammu and representative of JAC to workout if a new location for the Airport
