| 3 family members among four die due to lightening | | | Anantnag, May 28 At least three family members among four persons died after they were hit by thunder lightening in Sofi pora Wullerhama village of Pahalgam Anantnag in south Kashmir here this afternoon. They were working in fields. Sources informed that four persons including three family members died after lightening engulfed them when they were working in the fields in Wullerhama area of Anantnag district of south Kashmir. Sources quoting the eyewitnesses told that the lightening with a huge thunder engulfed the victims killing all of them on the spot. The deceased were farmers by profession. The incident created panic in the area and people were witnessed running for shelter. Sources said that soon after the incident locals rushed to the fields but could not rescue the victims. . The deceased have been identified as Nisar Ali Mir, Fidha Hussain, Abid Mir all members of same family and their neighbor Muhammad Mustafa Dar. Civil and police administration reached on the spot and evacuated the bodies of the victims. This is second such incident in Pahalgam area since last two days. A youth Mukhtar Ahmad Parray 24, son of Gh. Rasool, resident of Chewan Keller, was killed after he was struck by lightening on Saturday. Entire Kashmir valley is experiencing inclement weather for past couple of days leading to fresh snow fall in the upper reaches.
