Jammu, Jan 12: National Youth Day was celebrated by the students of Lawrence Public School on the occassion of Swami Vivekananda ji birth anniversary. According to press release, the students participated in various activities including a symposium, recitations, essay writing competition and poster making. While in the special assembly students namely Vaishali Sharma and Vaibhav Saraf spoke in detail about the philosophies, teachings and ideas of the Swami Vivekananda, terming them as the great cultural and traditional assets of India. Sharmila Gupta told the students that Swami Vivekananda believed in youth power to lead and nourish the historical culture of the country to carry out advancement for further development. She told them that he had a foresight about India, emerging as the largest Youth Nation in the world. Later the students pledged to follow the way of life and ideas of Swami Vivekananda with the aim, for making a better future of our country. |
