JAMMU, Jan 12: Part of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Kings XI Punjab has initiated a talent search-Play for Kings' campaign to identify and nurture young cricketers by way of providing them platform at different level. Already launched at the country level, the campaign has reached the state with Sidhant Cricket Academy, Marble Market, Trikuta Nagar, here selected as the venue for registration and selection purposes. The registration that stated today shall continue up to January 25 between 10 am and 6 pm. Those interested cricketers have been advised to contact Pankaj Sasun (09906005897) and Virender Sharma (09596964240). Registration can also be done online at www.kxip.in/playforkings. Divulging more details, Chief Operating Officer, Kings XI Punjab, Fraser Castellino, said, "We at Kings XI Punjab take immense pride in providing a platform to promote grass root talent. With 'Play for Kings', we are collaborating both digital and on ground spaces to reach out to budding cricketers with the intention of providing an opportunity to showcase their skills". Representing Woods United, part of the latent search campaign, Amit Singh has said that the event will be a great platform for not just the 32 youngsters who will get a chance to play the Kings Cup and the 16 who will get the opportunity to play with their favourite cricket heroes, but for millions of Cricket fans who we would reach out to using all possible platforms. |
