| Locust infestation re occurs in Zanaskar | | |

According to agriculture department locust infestation has re-occurred in the Zanaskar area this year also threatening the vegetation.
To control the infestation, Deputy Commissioner R.K. Bhagat has directed all sectoral officers of the district to instruct the subordinate staff of Zanaskar to extend all required assistance to Agriculture Department in mobilizing the public and to help in spraying pesticides to control the locust occurrence causing damage to the vegetations, as and when the concerned department asks for.
