| PNB disturbs Rs 16cr under ‘UTSAV-KHUSHALI’ programme | | | Jammu | May 29 Punjab National Bank (PNB) today disbursed loans amounting to Rs. 16 crore under ‘UTSAV-KHUSHALI’, programme at a function here today. Yhe Zonal Manager of the Bank Vivek Arya said that it is the third function of its kind in the region and said that bank proposes to disburse fresh loans amounting to Rs. 400 crores during the current fiscal so as to expand its credit portfolio to more than Rs. 1000 crores by the close of March next, beside increasing CD ratio of the bank. Arya, further said, bank is going to open 16 new branches during the current fiscal in the state. Speaking on the occasion, Inspector General of Police, Jammu range, Dr. S. P. Vaid, who was the chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the role of the bank management for conducting awareness programme- cum- loan distribution functions. Rani, Gargi Blowria, former Deputy Mayor JMC who was the guest of honour on the occasion, appreciated the visionary concept of bank, aimed at changing the life style of a large number of people in the state by creating self employment opportunities.
