| HM militant arrested in Kupwara | | |

Security forces arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant along with arms and ammunition from Kandi village of Kupwara in North Kashmir, on Tuesday afternoon.
Official sources said that on specific information troops of 32 RR and local along Police Kupwara camp Kandi and 32 RR launched a search operation and raided Kandi village of Kupwara and arrested a HM militant along with arms and ammunition. Identified as Mohammed Shafi Magray son of Abdul Gaffar Magray of Kandi was arrested. Some arms and ammunition was also recovered from his possession.
Meanwhile an unexploded shell was found lying in the forest area near village Salriman, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Karnah. Later the shell was safely destroyed by the Bomb Disposal Squad of Army.
