| Pamma lifts 27th Gran Mord Kesari 2007 | | | JAMMU | MAY 30 Pahalwan Pamma from Punjab lifted 27th Gran Mord Kesari 2007 here today. The Dangal was conducted by Gran Mord Dangal committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Pamma of Punjab thrashed Pahalwan Gurvinder of Amritsar in 13 minutes tough bout and lifted the best Malli. He was also awarded with cash prize of Rs. 3100 in addition to a shawl. Loser Pahalwan was given cash prize of Rs. 2000 About 46 bouts were played in the annual Vishal Dangal. The 2nd main bout of the said contest was won by Varinder Malik of Delhi defeating Raju of Kapurthala. In the 3rd bout the match between Happy and Rajesh has drawn. Fourth bout was won by Benia of Basant Garh defeating Puran Singh of Amritsar. Deputy Commissioner Reasi Sanjeev Sharma who was the chief guest on this occasion distributed the prizes among the outstanding wrestlers of the one day long completions Shiv Kumar Sharma, who is member District Udhampur Sports Advisory Board presided over the function. SSP Reasi J.L. Sharma, PPO Rajesh Bakshi, SHO Reasi B.K. Bhardwaj, D.S.P. Naresh Kumar and Naib Tehsildar Puran Chand were the guests of honour. Shiv Kumar Sharma in his speech complimented the Dangal Committee for organizing this event and advised them to make such type of Dangal a regular feature in the feature he added that there events provide a platform for the young wrestlers to show their talent besides a source of entertainment for the people of the rural area.
