Excise employees stir enters day 121

Seeking fulfillment of their demands that include re-absorption of retrenched employees, the stir initiated by All J&K Excise and Commercial Taxes Ousted Employees Association entered 121st day here today.
Addressing the agitating employees, president of the association Adil Rashid Khan said that despite repeated requests to the authorities and even after getting assurance from the Chief Minister, their demands have not yet been fulfilled.
“Because of us, our families have been suffering but the authorities have always turned deaf ear towards our demand,” Rashid said and added that the association might intensify the stir in case the demands are not considered by the government.
Others ousted employees who spoke on the occasion included Charan Jeet Singh, Riyaz Punchi, Rakesh Dogra, Ram Pal.
