| Red Cross Society organizes free medical camp | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu August 8 The Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region today conducted free medical camp at Jagti Village near Nagrota here today. During the health camp, Dr. Kiran Chib along with para medical staff held medical check up of 130 patients mostly women and children where they were provided free medicines. The medical camp was conducted under the supervision of Santosh Magotra Secretary Indian Indian_Red Cross Society Jammu Region. However, the society also conducted an awareness campaign for the women of the village regarding the importance of Breast-feeding in connection with the celebration of World Breast Feeding Week. Dr. Magotra in her address, emphasized upon the need to educate women about the importance of breast feeding which is also beneficial for the child too as it plays an important role in the overall development of a child. She also announced that the Red Cross society is committed to serve the underprivileged and the needy people in every possible manner by conducting more such medical camps every month thereby helping them to live a healthy life. The members of the Neha Ghar also spoke on the occasion. Others who were present on the occasion were Prof. Reeta Jatinder, Sarla Kohli, Veena Sharma, Dr. Vikrant Gupta, Dr. Kiran Chib and Sarpanch of the Village Jagti.
