| 3-member committee constituted to monitor working in government institutions | | 18 employees found absent during surprise inspection | | JAMMU AUG-8 The 3-member committee constituted by the government for Samba tehsil to supervise and inspect punctuality in government offices and also to monitor progress of developmental works today conducted surprise inspections of several government institutions including schools, health centers and offices and found 18 employees absent from duty. During the inspection, the committee is reported to have found 18 employees absent from duty un-authorisedly. The absentees included one Ayurvedic doctor, one Junior Agriculture Assistant, One Master, one Plant protection officer, one live stock assistant, four para- medicos of sub centers and PHCs, three Nurses and two Anganwari supervisors. While, one employee was reported to be celebrating marriage at her house without any leave. The Committee comprised Sub Divisional Magistrate Samba R K Gupta, Sub Divisional Police Officer Abrar Chowhary and Principal Higher School Boys Samba T R Sharma. Immediately after the constitution of the committee, a meeting was called of all the departmental heads at Tehsil headquarters who were asked to restore work culture in the offices, maintain punctuality and ensure speedy implementation of developmental works Taking strong notice of the unauthorized absence of officials from duty, the committee has recommended stringent action against the erring employees.. The offices inspected included High Schools at Rahiyan, Bain Glad and Girls High School Bain Glad, Health Sub Centre, Government Ayurvedic Dispensary, Agriculture Extension Office Command Area Development, RCD Centre of Animal Husbandry. Anganwari Centre NO 1 and 4 all at Rahiyan and Primary School Kungwala.
