| NC to support PoK refugees in their rehabilitation | | |
Jammu May 31—
National Conference has assured its full support to the demand of the PoK refugees and to extend its every possible help for their rehabilitation.
After meeting with the POK refugees, led by Chairman SOS International Rajiv Chuni, Senior National Conference leader Abdul Rahim Rather said, “Our party always supported the oppressed and aggrieved classes of which refuges of POK are a part. We have always shown concern towards the plight of refugees and would continue to do so in future also.”, he added.
He also said that, in all party meet the issue of the plight of the refugees was raised by NC and assured that the issue would be taken up with the central government and implore upon them to give this issue a serious thought.
The members of the delegation of the POK refugees which included Dr Gurmeet Singh and Dr. Suchwant Singh also appraised the NC leadership about the plight of POK refugees and also sought reservation of seats in professional institutions across the state for PoK refugees..
Among others, Ajay Sadohtra, Rattan Chand and Trilochan Singh Wazir were also present.
