| Governor expresses shock over Shally's death | | |

Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd) S K Sinha today expressed profound grief over the death of Dy S P Shally Singh in an encounter at Bhaderwah last evening.
In a message, the Governor said that Mr Singh died a warriors' death while fighting the enemy who are inimical to peace and tranquility. He recalled his contribution during his deployment at the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnathji consecutively for the past few years, which endeared him to devotees due to his in-depth knowledge of Shaivism.
The Governor has conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Principal Secretary to Governor and Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, Dr Arun Kumar has also expressed shock over the demise of Mr Singh and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
