| CMO accorded affectionate adieu | | | UDHAMPUR, MAY 31Chief Medical Officer, Udhampur, Jogeshwar Kumar Gupta was accorded warm and affectionate farewell by the medical, para-medical and other staff members in his office premises on retirement from Government service. Mr. Gupta joined his service as Assistant Surgeon in J&K Health and Family Welfare Department on May 8, 1974 and after rendering distinguished 33 years service in various capacities in the Department as Medical Officer, District Tuberculosis Officer, District Health Officer, Medical Superintendent relinquished his services on superannuation. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gupta extended his thanks to colleagues and staff at block level who gave their full support to him in running the affairs of Health institutions in the district smoothly. He also expressed his satisfaction over the affection given to him by the functionaries at block level on his retirement. Terming the medical profession as best way of serving the humanity, he called upon doctors, para-medical and other staff members to put in their sincere efforts in serving the ailing people to get the blessing of God. On the occasion various speakers highlighted the services of Dr. Gupta for the upliftment of health institutions in the district. They described him thorough gentleman and dedicated to his profession who did his best during his service tenure. They wished him a long happy and prosperous retired life. Among others, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mr. P.R. Manhas, Addl. DDC Udhampur, Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mr. J.L. Sharma, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Mr. Virender Slathia, Chief Education Officer, Mr. V.M. Raina, Medical Superintendent, Dr. K.K. Gupta, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Arun Sharma, Physician Specialists, Dr. Makhan Lal Gupta, Dr. Madan Lal Gupta, Dr. Sudesh Kumar Raina, Block Medical Officers and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
